When I introduced Agile into our country, I started to organize Agilia Conference (www.agiliaconference.com) to promote the essence of agility for organizations. While the event became very influential and ranked Top5 in Europe, I could observe only minimal impact on the industry. Therefore 9 years later I gave up organizing this further.

Agile requires a structural change in the organization, quite a lot of courage, and knowledge. Agile, however, shifted to the implementation of frameworks. The role of SM and Agile Coach was degraded to an entry-level job through which uneducated young people can achieve big salaries in tech doing secretary work. The same I observe as a consultant, where engineers beg me to be commanded and controlled, WFH, getting precise requirements and avoiding any discussions around it. Managers stay deliberately away from the change instead of driving it. No wonder, that Agile is failing the same way many prior change programs failed while burning enormous funds on transformation programs.

It is all about people. Agile has to be implemented as part of the organizational DNA during its foundation. I am afraid, today's startup culture is going against Agile completelly, so seeding Agile is also very problematic.
