We should ask questions, why the fatwa was imposed on Elon by progressivist power groups? And why is it generally tolerated?

Because Elon did nothing specifically wrong or special so far:

- He tries to reduce costs and put the platform into some economic balance,

- he informed people he wants them to work at work, and as an emergency measure reduced the workforce,

- he let go of lazy and activistic management,

- and he is trying to fix some internal regulations that prevent free speech.

Preventing free speech was supposed to be addressed by the government action long ago, it shouldn't wait for Elon. At the moment when the platform banned the president of the United States, the government should step in because the platform executed and demonstrated more power than the government has. And it is definitely against the principles of democracy and countermeasures needs to be taken.

I do not think Elon purchased the platform primarily to make money, he only tries to put it into balance and stop losing money (short term). I expect his vision is long-term. All he does is somehow linked with his intention to colonize Mars. This platform is no exception. In addition, the progressivists went too far. Someone needs to bring a mirror to society to show it that it is sick.
