Thank you Tom for writing such an interesting and refreshing article. It reminded me of a time, a bit more than you ago, when I went through the list, too. I did not find many albums I knew on the list. I knew only a few of the artists and some of their songs. I started to listen to all the albums on this list to discover the broadness of the music landscape. I went only through some first 50 or so. Many were good indeed, and I made many discoveries for me. But there are also some "poor" ones, and I wonder why they are among the top or even the top 50. It is probably because I am not from an English-speaking country, so if the lyrics are somehow important, I can't always get it. Or because rap is not my preference.

You are right. It is all subjective.
